Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as VP of Engineering at Artisan in San Francisco, CA. The VP of Engineering will be responsible for leading the engineering team, overseeing software development, project management, and product development on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

• Drive the expansion of our engineering team from 15 to 50+ over the next 12 months, hiring world-class talent and creating an environment where they can thrive.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, resilience, and teamwork, inspiring engineers to pour their all into their work and see Artisan as more than just a company, but a mission.
• Lead by example in our tech stack, including Python, React, Celery, Redis, Docker and Postgres.
• Oversee a distributed team of engineers across different time zones, uniting them under a common purpose and driving exceptional productivity.
• Build our in-office San Francisco engineering presence.
• Ensure we are meeting and exceeding our development goals, balancing speed with quality, and scaling our systems to handle our rapidly growing user base.
• Partner closely with Product and Design teams to refine our product strategy, creating a seamless bridge between our technical capabilities and business ambitions.
• Maintain a stable and bug-free production environment.
