Role Overview:
This entry-level Bookkeeper/Entry Level Accountant Role offers valuable, foundational experience in a finance department. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and New Jersey Department of Education regulationsProcess accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R)Support payroll reporting using ADP Workforce NowRecord journal entries and assist with invoice processingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparationPerform general ledger and account reconciliationsPrepare financial statements and ad hoc reports
What We're Looking For:
Experience: 1-2 years in bookkeeping or accounting, with familiarity in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other Office toolsEducation: Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, of Business Administration preferred)Skills: Excellent organizational skills, a knack for numbers, and a willingness to learn and growBonus Experience: Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and NJDOE private school accounting practices
