Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administrationTarget Ratios: 1:6-7Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!Patient diagnoses: General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injectionSpecial procedures/Unit details: Daily Census 42. During times of increased census, typical ratios may be higher.Unit orientation: 24 hrs (2 shifts)Scrubs: Navy Blue and whiteJob Requirements
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 yearTraveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: YesSkills required: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound VacCerts required: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.Schedule Information
Shift: NIGHTSRTO: 7 days MAX - NO CHRISTMAS RTO; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48.Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.Unit Specific Information
