The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Information Services has a full time vacancy for Director.

SUMMARY:

The Director provides visionary leadership, strategic management, and operational direction for the staff, programs, and services of the Bureau of Information Services (BIS) including development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the enterprise information systems, management IT solutions, information and data security, compliance matters, and related services and initiatives. The Director will manage our information security team working in conjunction with the NH Department of Information Technology (DoIT) to design, to design, implement and maintain physical security, application security, identity and access management, infrastructure security, cloud computing security, contracting, compliance, and incident response. The Director BIS manages the strategic and tactical direction of data and management information systems, including the Project Management Office, in collaboration and alignment with the Departments Senior Executive Team and the business needs of the Department and is responsible for achieving efficient, integrated, and cost-effective Department-wide IT operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides strategic and tactical planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the Departments information systems and usage of the Departments information technology resources, and project management services.

Executes strategic planning and development efforts including directing and coordinating the management of the DHHS Information Technology strategic plan and related policies, procedures and objectives, managing their maintenance, and ensuring Department compliance with State Information Technology policies and standards.

Oversees and directs the implementation and evaluation of major Information Technology projects, initiatives, and system improvements to ensure adherence to Department plans, policies, and standards, and ensure the suitable selection of technology solutions to streamline operations and optimize strategic benefits, including voice, data, imaging, and office automation.

Directs and delegates supervisory and program responsibilities to subordinate managers in all areas of responsibility, with overall accountability for all aspects of Bureau operations, staffing, and personnel management.
