Guidehouse’s Provider Operations Solutions Area works with clients to measurably improve their operational outcomes through a mix of workforce strategies, improvement in resource utilization, and reduction in variation in care. By leveraging a deep understanding of health system and ambulatory operational best practices supported by data, Guidehouse drives margin and operational improvement across business and purchased services, supply cost, and clinical supply utilization at client provider organizations.The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcasing the Guidehouse culture, and providing them with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.Highlights Of Our Internship Program Include
10-week experience in Summer 2025 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 2 and run until Friday, August 8)Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor Lead)Mid-Point and Final EvaluationsCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern EventNetworking & Social Activities and EventsIntern Speaker SeriesCollaborative Group ProjectsOur Interns help our clients improve their business processes, internal controls, operating efficiency, transparency and performance management, and ability to comply with federal laws and regulations. During your assignment, you will be given the opportunity to support projects to address some of the most significant project challenges faced by federal clients. Guidehouse projects are extremely fluid and require self-motivated individuals willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients' senior management and enhance their skills in the areas of technical competency, business development, client service and people development.Throughout the internship, you will have the chance to work with our internal teams on the assigned project/contract, meet with upper management to reflect on your personal and professional development, and socialize with your fellow interns during outings/activities.As an Intern, you will work with an experienced team to support the development of client deliverables, internal and client presentations, day-to-day project logistics, and any additional project tasks. This position provides individuals the opportunity to serve clients across a wide variety of functions including strategy, process improvement, analytics, accounting, information technology, communications, and project management.What You Will Need
Minimum Years of Experience: 0 yearsMinimum Degree Status: Undergraduate Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program through Fall 2025 and graduate by Summer 2026)Would not require sponsorship now or anytime in the future to work in the United States; Students possessing F-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position.What Would Be Nice To Have
Degree concentration in Business, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Health Management, Industrial and Operations Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar is preferredHealthcare provider or fellowship experience and/or education in health economics is strongly desiredKnowledge of Business Analytics software Access, SAS or R, and/or SQLStrong knowledge of and application of healthcare research resourcesUnderstanding of market/financial analysis in context of healthcare provider needsStrong quantitative and organizational skills are a mustMust be able to demonstrate written and oral communication and presentation skillsExcellent quantitative analysis skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AccessAbility to translate data into graphic or visual representationsHeavy travel (east coast to west coast) may be required, depending on client assignmentThe annual salary range for this position is $59,900.00-$89,900.00.
