As a Pharmacy Consultant, you will be at the forefront of managing pharmacy benefits projects for large, complex clients and leverage your experience as a pharmacy benefits expert to make recommendations on plan design and management. You will participate in new business activities and the creation of new intellectual capital. You will position yourself to grow into a senior relationship management and/or leadership role by serving as the pivotal point on all projects and working alongside industry experts on cutting-edge solutions.The RoleProvide value-added consulting expertise on large, sophisticated Pharmacy benefit projects including:Pharmacy benefit plan analysis, design and cost savings strategiesPharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) vendor procurement and negotiationAudits of PBM performance (financial and operational)Strategy for Specialty pharmacy productsEvaluation of onsite pharmacies at client locationsServe as lead day-to-day contact for clients; materially contribute to project plan creation and lead the team on delivery; ensure progress against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and quality standardsSupport the generation of new business by participating in prospecting opportunities with new clients as part of a broader teamBuild relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teamsReview analytical work, mentor and develop Analysts and Senior AnalystsContribute to the development of new intellectual capitalContribute pharmacy and related perspectives to broader health and benefits projects including health management strategyQualificationsThe RequirementsPharmD or RPh designation7+ years’ experience and success in the design/management of large group pharmacy benefit plans gained in a consulting, brokerage, or carrier/pharmacy benefit manager environmentProven experience creating project plans and successfully leading teams in execution of the project against plan guidelinesDemonstrated success in managing client issues and relationshipsDesire and ability to expand relationships with current clientsPolished and well-developed oral and written communication skillsSelf-starter attitude and ability to work individually and as part of a teamFlexibility and proven ability to identify and resolve issuesStrong analytical, creative, and integrative skillsExperience in training/mentoring junior staffExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPointAvailability to travel on an as-needed basisBachelor’s degree required, preferably with significant quantitative courseworkState Life and Health license required within 90 days of joiningThis role will be working remotely within the posted locations.
