A Day in the LifeAs a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you'll play a critical role in executing HR initiatives that positively impact our employees and business outcomes. This dynamic, results-oriented HR professional will plan and partner with HR COEs to support the execution of programs and initiatives in talent acquisition, culture change, ID&E, performance management, talent management and development, employee relations, total rewards, and organization effectiveness. This role will report to a Sr. HR Director and will provide both hands-on tactical support and HR partnership to functional areas such as Field Sales, IT, Medical Affairs, or Marketing. They will serve as a trusted advisor to front and mid-level leaders and employees, handle day-to-day inquiries, and prepare leaders for key meetings and HR deliverables.
Medtronic Hybrid Work Model:
You will be required to work on-site at our
Northridge, California
location
three (3) days
per week. This on-site presence is crucial to fostering collaboration and maintaining a strong connection with our team and the workplace environment.

A Day in the Life:
Organization, Talent, and Culture Planning:
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and HR COEs to provide high-impact HR solutions. Support critical HR processes, including workforce planning, compensation reviews, and performance management partnership with the HR COEs. Communicate and implement proactive strategies pertaining to employee retention and engagement, succession planning in support of strategic objectives. Work with leaders to foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
Change Management/Organization Effectiveness:
Support organizational change initiatives and provide guidance on change management processes.
Talent and Leadership Development:
Partner with Global Talent Development on strategies to develop and enhance business and technical capabilities for the employee population to include knowledge enhancement, career, and leadership development.
Talent Acquisition:
Support Leaders and the Talent Acquisition COE to identify and staff critical roles, build organization capabilities, and bench strength.
Employee Relations & Communications:
Partner with the Employee Relations COE and leaders to anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues.
Inclusion, Diversity, Equity:
Champion ID&E efforts to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce. Partner with HR and leadership to develop and implement ID&E initiatives.
HR Data Analytics:
Detect organizational trends and alert HR partners to enable appropriate actions. Use HR data to measure progress and provide insights for data-driven decision-making. Provide regular updates to stakeholders to communicate program progress and outcomes.
Qualifications - External
Must Have: Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive HR experience, OR an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous roles in large global matrixed Fortune 500 organization supporting leadership teams in developing and executing HR programs.
Experienced HR professional with a successful track record of implementing HR programs in a fast-paced global business. Experience in Medical device, Technology, Healthcare, or Consumer Product (i.e., Amazon) industry a plus. Experience working with Commercial and R&D teams a plus.
Strong understanding of talent management, development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness best practices.
Results orientation – meet goals consistently and go beyond them. Demonstrates a high sense of urgency, creativity, & is comfortable leading through ambiguity & managing multiple projects.
Influencing - Communicates with impact. Uses tailored communication and creates authentic and trusting relationships to influence clients.
Solution Orientation – able to think beyond own area and apply critical thinking, incorporating both analytical and conceptual abilities.
Collaborative - Reaches across boundaries internally and externally to develop an extensive network of partnerships. Experience in a global, matrix management structure, and working with a virtual workforce. Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders.
Flexible - Demonstrated career flexibility and adaptation skills (e.g., successful industry or company changes with minimal learning curve; cross-cultural experience and flexibility if dictated by scope of organization).
Consulting - Strong coaching, consulting, and facilitation skills.
Proficiency in HRIS software (Workday) and Microsoft Office suite.
Proficiency in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $139,200.00 - $208,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
