IT Technical Support Specialist

Under broad supervision, provides management information system user support on a continuing basis either by phone or site visit. Troubleshoots end-user problems. Analyzes & designs software modifications to meet users' needs.location: Milledgeville, Georgiajob type: Contractsalary: $29 - 34 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelors

Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardwareHandle business-critical IT tasks and system improvementsEnable faster and smarter business processes and employee productivityResearch and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and softwareServe as the subject-matter expert supporting Windows, and widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft and Adobe.Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phonesAnalyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost efficiency and accuracyExecute systems and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration, and ensure components meet business needs and work together seamlesslyImplement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance issuesTrain employees in using software and hardware, and provide technical support when neededRequired skills and qualifications

Knowledge of troubleshooting MS Office 365, VPN, Adobe, McAfee, LogMeIn, encryption, etc.Ability to troubleshoot computer peripheral devices: printers, scanners, MDF, monitors, keyboard, mice etc.Experienced in troubleshoot issues on end user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, and Surface Pros.History of working in an Active Directory domain environmentProficient at software installs and troubleshootingSome networking knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot network issues from the command line.qualifications:
