Requisition Summary The position is responsible for general accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, analysis and reports, focusing on capital expenditure and fixed asset processes. The position will report to the General Accounting Supervisor. Job Functions / Responsibilities Manage Capital Expenditure process working closely with the Division Capital Budget Manager. Communicate across business departments to ensure proper recording of monthly capital expenditures. Ensure accuracy of the Fixed Asset subledger (including additions packet and setup), using SAP and PACCAR Capital Budget Status Report (CBSR) systems. Coordinate with PDCs for timely Fixed Assets disposals and Asset tagging. Perform monthly reconciliations and analysis for Home Office (lntercompany) and Fixed Assets transactions, including Assets Under Construction. Prepare assigned monthly journal entries on a timely basis and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Respond to and submit monthly and quarterly reports to Corporate Accounting. Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Perform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits. Perform SOX testing as assigned. Support internal control reviews and external audit requests. Perform other duties and accounting functions as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Minimum 1+ years relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including effective written and verbal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Position requires frequent coordination and negotiation with numerous groups within PACCAR divisions. Strong analytical and computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. Tableau, SQL, Alteryx etc.). Self-motivated problem solver with ability to work independently and under pressure with deadlines, handling multiple tasks and/or projects and shifting priorities. Positive attitude and "can-do" approach to issue resolution. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $65,500 - $89,760 annually.
