The Senior Accountant is responsible for fixed asset, inventory, freight and capital project accounting and reporting. Review budget and actual spending for various overhead departments. Prepare internal reports of key Plant operation and financial metrics.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze journal entries and account reconciliations surrounding fixed assets, inventory and other various accounts.Provide financial support to operations team to manage capital projects. Ensure accurate reporting of fixed assets and capital projects.Responsible for the preparation of timely, accurate, and meaningful monthly forecast and related analysis for various factory overhead departments.Prepare various month end, quarter end and annual report schedules.Work together with Division and other Plant Accounting team members to ensure timely and accurate cross division reporting.Support month-end inventory counts, quarterly statistical audits of consigned inventory, bi-annual physical inventory and assist in the reconciliations of the GL to the counts.Record intercompany transactions and supplier chargebacks for premium freight and rework.Special and ad hoc projects as assigned.Qualifications
BS/BA Accounting Degree requiredMBA/CMA/CPA desired and Master's degree preferred3+ years of relevant accounting experienceStrong analytical skills with attention to detailAbility to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks in a fast paced and time sensitive environment Strong work ethic and desire to exceed expectationsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel and AccessExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
