Space Flight Systems Development and Operations Contract (SpaceDOC III) contract located at NASA's Glenn Research Center.

ResponsibilitiesTSM&P DM is responsible for the Technical Support & Production and Manufacturing personnel to include performance evaluations and training. The Materials Manager reports to them and is responsible for scheduling critical parts, storage, and facility management; handles all aspects of the supply chain to include shipping, receiving, inspection and demand planning; maintains property management records and conducts property audits; responsible for inventory control and bonded storage. The TSM&P DM has responsibility for the manufacturing facility including implementation of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and IPC controls for work products. The TSM&P DM provides core technical expertise for personnel within the department. Maintains open communication with B/DOMs and stakeholders. Is at the major discipline level and provides core technical expertise to his department.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelors of Science degree in an engineering or technical discipline. Masters Degree OR PhD preferred.
+15 years experience in program management or operations management. This experience should be in the aerospace industry with a preferred emphasis on test and R&D operations and facilities with NASA of DoD. Experience managing workforce with 75 or more employees is preferred.
Direct experience with management of people and programs for cross utilization and cross training facility personnel is preferred.
Experience with marketing and business development of test services is preferred.
Experience with developing and managing contract teams in a seamless, integrated, badge less manner Is preferred.
Direct experience with program management in a performance based contract environment is preferred.
Direct experience with implementing organizational change, close partnering with customers in an operations environment to initiate change is preferred.
Track record of initiating process improvements and cost reductions, and history of successfully managing schedules and budgets in an operations environment is preferred.
U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
