The Stewardship Data Senior Analyst will act as a sustainability thought leader while collaborating with business resources across the firm to create, maintain and manage data processes, methodologies and frameworks for the firm's annual sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reporting. Essential Duties Manage the firm's greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reporting, reduction goals and targets. Conduct comprehensive greenhouse gas inventories, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, in accordance with relevant standards and protocols (e.g., GHG Protocol) for the firm's annual Impact Report. Maintain and update the firm's GHG emission methodology documentation. Collaborate with business resources to collect and verify data related to emissions sources, energy consumption, waste management, and other relevant factors. Collaborate with subject matter experts and firm leadership to create and report on science-based targets. Stay up to date with the latest developments in GHG accounting methodologies, regulations and reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol Corporate Standards, EPA, climate registry, etc.) to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Identify and evaluate emissions reduction opportunities and develop strategies for emissions mitigation. Implementation and management of a carbon emission reporting technology solution. Prepare and present updates to leadership groups, as needed. Provide thought leadership and support to grow forward the firm's enterprise stewardship initiatives, including the annual Impact Report. Apply deep understanding of sustainability performance metrics, frameworks and standards, such as SASB/IFRS/ISSB, TCFD, and GRI, to support the development and publication of the firm's annual Impact Report. Partner with relevant business resources to ensure performance metrics alignment to frameworks and standards. Create and maintain the sustainability framework appendix. Benchmark against comparators, global sustainability disclosures and reporting best-practices. Contribute to the improvement of the firm's sustainability reporting internal controls, documentation and processes. Stay apprised of evolving sustainability disclosure regulations and collaborate with internal subject matter experts and business resources to ensure preparedness and compliance. Other sustainability projects Individual will support other ad-hoc projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in relevant field (sustainability or environmental science) or equivalent experience required GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and/or GHG Protocol Scope 2 certifications preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 years in corporate environmental sustainability reporting and internal controls experience, preferably with experience in climate-related disclosures required Experience working with the various sustainability raters, rankers, and frameworks (EcoVadis, MorningStar, S&P ESG Index, GRI, SASB/IFRS/ISSB, CDP, TCFD, GHG Protocol, SBTi, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, ISO14064, PRI, etc.) required Proficiency in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting required TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS High proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required LEADERSHIP SKILLS Able to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously required Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis to support decision-making preferred Strong interpersonal skills required Ability to wo k effectively with all levels of employees, including multiple levels of leadership required Influences peers and internal clients to achieve objectives required Operate with a sense of urgency and independently prioritizes work plans to meet agreed upon time frames and objectives required Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration abilities required At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.We offer flexibility in your schedule, empowering you to balance life's demands, while also maintaining your ability to serve clients.Learn more about our total rewards at https://rsmus.com/careers/working-at-rsm/benefits. At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
