In this role, you will lead technical decision-making and architectural direction of the team while collaborating closely across teams. Your leadership will enable successful delivery of cutting-edge solutions aligned with SAP’s goals and customer needs.You will be responsible for designing and evolving system architecture and empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions through code reviews and technical leadership. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams will be critical to your success in this role. We are looking for at least 10+ years of professional work experience in software development with at least 3 years as a lead developer or solution architect.The RoleDesign and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable cloud-native applications in Java, Node.js, and Angular.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-level architecture designs and technical specifications.Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring architectural consistency while conducting feasibility analysis and effort estimation.Provide technical leadership in code and architecture reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.Support and advise product management regarding technical feasibility, implications, readiness, and compliance.Drive innovation in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-based microservices.Define and implement coding and architectural standards, ensuring compliance with SAP Commerce Cloud integration tasks.Work cross-teams to deliver cohesive solutions that meet regulatory and security requirements.Lead technical discussions and mentor developers to foster growth and continuous improvement.What you bringExpert-Level Programming Skills: Extensive 10+ years of experience in designing and building enterprise software using Java. A deep understanding of software development principles and the software development lifecycle.Over 5 years of experience in cloud-native application development, including 3+ years in a leadership or technical lead role.Proven ability to provide technical direction and resolve complex issues.Strong expertise in enterprise-level architecture, cloud technologies, and microservices.Experience designing and deploying multi-tenant cloud applications focusing on security and backend infrastructure.Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.Leadership and Collaboration: Experience leading technical topics and collaborating with global teams. You communicate clearly, proactively, and effectively in English, both within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.Adaptability and Innovation: Ability to adapt quickly to changes in development processes, technologies, and team requirements.Nice-to-have SkillsFamiliarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) framework and Kyma.Experience with AI and AI development tools like GitHub CoPilot.Knowledge of enterprise e-commerce solutions.Meet Your TeamYou will be joining an Agile Team with a global, diverse mix of highly motivated developers who support the next generation of Commerce products.
