Job Overview:A prestigious law firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Construction and Real Estate Litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling a variety of commercial litigation matters and will thrive in a fast-paced, client-centric environment. This position provides the opportunity to work on complex cases and to build a rewarding legal career with a dynamic team of professionals.Duties:
Handle commercial litigation matters with a focus on construction and real estate disputes.Manage a varied caseload involving complex legal issues.Participate in trials, hearings, depositions, and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.Take the lead on litigation matters, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, motions, and pleadings.Collaborate with other attorneys and team members to develop and implement case strategies.Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and legal counsel.Participate in trial and appellate court proceedings at local, state, and federal levels.Requirements:
6-8 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on construction and real estate matters.Proven experience taking and defending depositions.Demonstrated experience in trial and hearing proceedings.Ability to handle complex litigation in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC. Additional admission in Virginia (VA) and/or Maryland (MD) is highly preferred.Certifications:
Active membership and good standing with the District of Columbia Bar.Additional licensure in VA and/or MD is beneficial but not mandatory.Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail.Exceptional interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset.Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.Job Location:
