Job Description
This BAE Systems program supports our federal customer who plays a key role in providing direct cybersecurity engineering support. This program provides systems and security engineering and integration support to specific Government-sponsored projects, pilots and prototypes. This includes solution planning and engineering, defining security requirements, target architecture, interoperability and integration, system testing, Verification and Validation, Modeling and Simulation, studies and analysis, post-deployment security validation (PDSV), and project risk management. As part of this team, you will contribute to the engineering of current and emerging cybersecurity systems, policies, and processes to enforce standards and identify vulnerabilities and capability gaps and reduce cybersecurity risk of our customer networks.The Solution Management Lead is a Key role on the contract, reporting directly to the PM. The SM Lead is responsible for the program's Model Based Systems Engineering/Digital Engineering transformation, architecture and systems engineering effort, change management, and data management. The primary focus is to ensure success of the MBSE/Digital Engineering transformation, requirements identification and analysis and definition of architecture and roadmaps for the new and upgraded cybersecurity systems. This work will be performed as part of a SAFe Agile implementation, with a specific focus on Epic definition and requirements. The SM Lead oversees the program's Model Based Systems Engineering / Digital Engineering implementation across the program and customer environment. The SM Lead will provide direction, coordination, implementation, control, and ensure completion of multiple projects and commitments while ensuring alignment with strategy and achievement of goals. This position serves as the primary enterprise support lead, identifying and mitigating program risks, resolving project specific issues, and reporting in a timely manner. The SM Lead has personnel responsibilities for two Key Leads and a total staff of about 37 employees consisting of Digital Engineers, Architects, System Engineers, Data Analysts, and Change Management staff.**This position is eligible for maximum telework (>50%) for applicants residing in the National Capital Region (DC, MD, VA).****This position’s office location can be either Sterling, VA, or Rockville, MD.**Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager or other managerial positionDemonstrated knowledge of transformation principles and practicesFamiliarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) / Digital EngineeringProject management background with expertise in systems engineering and architecture projectsFamiliarity with SAFe AgileFamiliarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on requirements development and/or architecture composition for IT systemsDemonstrated knowledge in strategic planning, risk management, and change managementLeadership experience overseeing large teams responsible for planning and implementing many different projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer relationship skills for interfacing across the program and with multiple senior-level customersCurrent Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationActive TS/SCI clearanceMust be able to obtain DHS EODPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
