This role involves providing expert legal counsel on employment law matters and actively participating in employment litigation defense. The position offers a dynamic work environment, focusing on litigation strategy, drafting legal documents, depositions, and client negotiations, with opportunities for professional growth.Location:Duties:Provide employment law advice and counsel to small and medium-sized businesses.Participate in all aspects of employment law litigation defense, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.Argue motions and contribute to the overall strategy of cases from inception to completion.Conduct legal research and analyze employment law issues.Take depositions, engage in negotiations, and manage case files.Network and participate in marketing efforts to grow the firm's client base.Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver effective legal solutions.Stay informed about changes in employment law and workplace regulations.Requirements:2-8 years of experience in employment law and/or litigation.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strong analytical, data-driven, and forward-thinking skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Executive presence with strong leadership capabilities.COVID-19 vaccination is required (with accommodations/exceptions available).Strong ability to manage multiple cases and provide high-level client service.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar is required.Skills:Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and discovery.Strong legal research and analytical skills.Effective oral advocacy and presentation skills.Ability to develop and implement case strategies.Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.Team-oriented with the ability to manage individual responsibilities.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Collaborative work environment with a focus on employee well-being and purpose-driven work.
