We are looking for a talented transactional attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Devices & Services business. The attorney will work closely with business development, product, and go-to-market teams as counsel on strategic partnership deals across a variety of products, including Fire TV integration deals with third-party device manufacturers and Appstore distribution deals with major app developers. The attorney will structure, draft, and negotiate a range of agreements, and counsel internal clients on various legal issues related to business operations. They will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment (including in ambiguous situations).

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Seattle, WA, USA | Los Angeles, CA, USA | San Francisco Bay Area, CA, USA | New York, NY, USA. Some travel, primarily within the United States, may be required.

Minimum Requirements:

Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent5+ years of legal experienceExperience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house workKnowledge of internet, software, and media industries and the legal and regulatory environment in which they operate or equivalent4+ years of experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex software licensing and other technology transactions in support of product development and launchTechnical background (computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred), with strong knowledge of software and hardware development and designAbility to work independently while also contributing successfully to cross-functional teamsExcellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlinesStrong communication and analytical skillsSound judgment, including in ambiguous situations
