This position will report to a Principal or designee level staff member within our roofing division and will involve a variety of general functions, including but not limited to:Manage various roofing and waterproofing projects, undertake investigation, design, detailing, and participate in testing, and construction administration.Develop investigative work scopes and resolving associated technical issues on projectsCollaborate with architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability, and develop system concepts.Produce details via hand sketching. Experience with AutoCAD or Revit preferred.Well versed in exterior wall construction project phases including but not limited to shop drawing, modeling, design development and construction documentsPerform field visits and prepare reports for the clientsMentor and train junior staff on various roofing and waterproofing systems, and manage budgetary project requirements.Document and maintain well written reports on project related activity.Providing cross-functional support to ensure client needs and internal timelines/project activities are completedAdvise management on related project performance\key issues, status, scheduling, effort of work and estimates for completionMaintain detailed documents and progression of work from initial proposal through completionProvide manpower updates and resource availabilityPresentation of white paper\case studies to technical teams as requiredManage staff or team and foster training\mentoringPerform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or managerQualifications
Experience managing projects of varying sizes and interfacing with clientsBackground in roofing and waterproofing systems, and knowledge of building materials, field investigation methods, and related codes and standards5+ years of technical experience with the roofing and waterproofing industryDegree in architecture, construction management, engineering technology, building science or a related field preferredExcellent technical, written, and verbal communication skillsTakes independent initiative. Works proactively in solving problems.Ability to work in the field and to travel outside local area as required by workload and project commitments.Industry affiliation and Roof Consultants Institute (RCI), RRO, RWC, RRC certifications would be a plusProfessional license preferred but not requiredAdditional Information
