Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the distribution channels, fielding technical product and application questionsReview inquiries to understand goals of the project, customer needs, and specifications to develop a quote strategy and scope of supplyPrepare technical proposals complete with data sheets, performance curves, lube systems, seal systems and other auxiliary systemsCollaborate with internal departments assisting in quotation and proposal developmentTechnical support answering question regarding the proposal, modify proposals as needed, and participate in pre-award technical discussions to close ordersReview customer purchase orders ensuring compliance with quoted equipment and specificationsTransfer job with all applicable data to project management after order is received. Participate in a handoff meeting and act as a technical advisor as appropriate throughout the jobDevelops specifications and performance requirements for industrial equipmentCalculates cost analysis for integrating new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing processUses programming knowledge and experience to adapt equipment to specific job applicationsPrepares operating instructions and programs for equipmentOversees installation of machinery and equipment to ensure they function according to specificationsEvaluates machinery to ensure it has the capability to complete desired functionsAnalyzes alternative techniques and methods and recommends changes to equipment or procedures as neededEstablishes schedule of procedures and maintenance routines to ensure equipment operates efficientlyShares technical information and training with other departmentsPerforms other related duties as assignedSkills & Abilities-Required:
Professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of personnelExperience working in a team valuing communication, participation and involvement of othersPreferred-Qualifications:
BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related fieldEquipment packaging and project management experience are a plus3-5 years working within an industrial manufacturing environmentMS Office SuiteKnowledge and understanding of centrifugal compressors and pumps - experience with rotating equipment is a plusDemonstrated knowledge working with detailed specifications supporting general industry applicationsMechanical training and aptitudeAbility to deliver exemplary customer service to both external and internal customersSelf-directed working both independently and collaboratively with other team membersInterface with vendors as needed to quote appropriate equipmentAbility to work well under pressure within a reactive type roleFlexibility to work multiple projects at varying stages of completion and multitaskPerform continuous improvement projects as identifiedPosition may require travel to support sales channel and customers (less than 5%)Ability to speak other languages a plus

Compensation DetailsAnnual Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
Additional CompensationSalary Range for this position: $90k-110k (the salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position).
