AV Field Engineer/ Network Technician

Pay: 30-40/hrWe are a local state integrator looking for a skilled AV Field Engineer/ Network Technician specializing in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audiovisual and communication systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV systems, including video conferencing, audio setup, and network IP distribution. This role involves direct client interaction, overseeing installations, and providing technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and oversee the installation of AV systems, including video conferencing and audio equipment.Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions.Perform light programming and configuration of AV systems, including audio setups.Manage video over IP applications and network IP distribution.Create and review detailed technical drawings and bills of materials for AV installations.Troubleshoot and resolve video conferencing room issues, including power cycling, network connectivity, cable management, licensing, and Tier 2 support.Provide remote support for helpdesk tickets and assist with office-based engineering tasks when not on-site.Additional Information:
Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in person, as you may be the first point of contact for clients.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a field technician, preferably in AV or related fields.Strong technical knowledge of video conferencing systems, AV equipment, and network troubleshooting.Hands-on experience with AV over IP systems and category cable installations.Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in person, as you may be the first point of contact for clients.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with major AV manufacturers and industry certifications.Network certifications and experience with network troubleshooting.Certifications: CTS preferred; network certifications are a bonus.IT knowledge, particularly with platforms like Zoom, is a plus.Ability to design and execute installation plans, including creating technical drawings and bills of materials.Experience with professional AV installations, integrating AV systems into IP networks, and performing field terminations.
