Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Manager, Sales to join our exceptional team. As a world-class leader in the Life Sciences/Analytical Instruments sector, Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers an ambitious and collaborative work environment where employees can thrive and make a significant impact.
Candidates must be located within a 2-hour commuting distance from Boston, MA.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 8-12 Sales Representatives, ensuring flawless execution of sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
Develop and implement district level plans that align with overall company objectives, while consistently delivering measurable results.
Drive sales performance by providing coaching, training, and guidance to the sales team, helping them exceed their goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Product Development, to determine and successfully implement effective sales strategies.
Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to determine competitive positioning and identify new growth opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Job Requirements:
Equivalent experience in a scientific field, with a minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the Life Sciences/Analytical Instruments sector, will also be considered.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets, with experience leading a territory at or above $100M.
Strong leadership and management skills, with 2+ years of experience leading a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with teams from various departments and cultivating relationships with important individuals.
Strong analytical skills, capable of analyzing market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies.
Ability to travel as required.
