Responsibilities
Peraton is looking for an experienced
Network/Linux Engineer
who will be responsible for network and server operations, to include installation, configuration and maintenance, in a complex multi-vendor environment similar in size to a small business. Server operations shall include, but not be limited to, hardware, virtualization, operating system (OS), and utilities on the network infrastructure and servers. Linux administration is key to this role. The position(s) is responsible for conducting research, analysis and evaluations supporting all phases of a network's operational lifecycle, to include but not limited to, design, configuration, and oversight of component installation.Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Active TS required to start (with eligibility for SCI and Poly)Three (3) years of recent and relevant working experience is required in the following focus areas:
Administer and configure network infrastructure in a multi-vendor environmentAdminister and configure network inspection/routing hardware (firewalls, routers, etc.)Administer and configure Linux (Preferred: Debian, Ubuntu and CENTOS) server and desktop operating systems.Linux shell scripting (sh, ksh or bash)Install, configure and maintain internal networks, file servers, application servers, and workstationsAdminister and configure VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, VxRail and other virtualization technologiesAdminister and configure DNS server Linux infrastructure with FreeIPA/BindMaintain Nutanix clusters
