Recovery Support Specialist , Monday through Friday. Responsible for providing recovery support and crisis intervention to clients living in the community as a member of the Mobile Crisis Unit.Benefits and Perks:

Respond to clients experiencing a mental health crisis or substance use crisis via telephone or in person.Provide shift coverage in Mobile Crisis and maintain a case load of community-based clients.Responsible for engaging, providing relapse education, and supporting clients in their recovery journey via telephone or in person.Serve as a mentor to clients and provide ongoing support.Partner with clients to access the service and supports that will help individuals attain personal recovery goals.Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.Position Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.CADC (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor) certification preferred.Minimum of one (1) year experience in the human service or social service required.Certified Recovery Support Specialist certification required, or to be obtained within one year of date of hire.Lived substance abuse experience required.Bilingual, Spanish and English, preferred.Background check clearance required.Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.Excellent organization, presentation and PC/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.Access to reliable transportation required.Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected by law.
