This role involves handling both public and private company mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will lead M&A teams, supervise junior associates, and manage the entire transaction process, including drafting agreements and negotiating with counterparties.Location:Duties:Lead M&A transactions, including public and private company dealsDraft and negotiate definitive transaction agreementsOversee and supervise junior M&A associatesCoordinate with subject matter experts in relevant areasManage client relationships throughout the transaction processLead negotiations with transaction counterpartiesEnsure successful execution of all aspects of M&A dealsRequirements:6-8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions or strategic transactionsExperience serving as a lead associate on M&A transactionsStrong track record in drafting and negotiating transaction agreementsProven ability to manage teams and oversee junior associatesExpertise in client management and leading negotiationsEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active membership in the Bar of the state where the candidate will be based (New York, California, or Washington) or eligibility for admissionSkills:Strong academic credentialsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsHigh-level negotiation, drafting, and leadership skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously
