A prestigious law firm located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its dynamic Litigation group. The firm values boldness, excellence, and teamwork, creating an atmosphere where attorneys can thrive and make a significant impact.Duties:Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on case progress.Supervise and mentor junior associates, fostering their professional development.Collaborate with experts to gather essential information and insights for case preparation.Assist in fact development, including conducting depositions and managing discovery processes.Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and legal memoranda.Contribute to the development of case strategies and legal arguments to support clients’ objectives.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution with strong academic credentials from nationally recognized schools.Admission to practice in Maryland; additional State Bar admissions are a plus.A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.Background in science, with experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation, particularly within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.Education:MD, MPH, PharmD, or a degree in Epidemiology is highly desirable.Certifications:Bar admission in Maryland is required; additional Bar admissions in relevant states are preferred.Skills:Strong analytical and writing abilities with a keen attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Proven oral and written communication skills, with the capacity to influence and persuade.Strong research and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.Management skills to oversee projects and mentor junior team members.Job Location:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.Opportunities for professional development and career growth within a supportive firm culture.
