The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields and will manage a range of patent prosecution tasks. Draft and prosecute patent applications, particularly in the fields of electrical engineering, software, and computer science.Provide strategic intellectual property counseling for clients, helping to manage patent portfolios.Conduct legal research and prepare filings for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Assist in the development of client patent strategies, especially for technologies involving software, networking, and wireless systems (3G/4G/5G).Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve complex intellectual property issues.Ensure compliance with patent laws and regulations and keep up with relevant industry trends.Requirements:
2-6 years of experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property law.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.Experience with technologies such as networking, software, and wireless networks (3G/4G/5G) preferred.Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) required.Strong written, research, and analytical skills.Education:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field.Certifications:
Active admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:
Strong technical understanding of electrical engineering and software-related technologies.Excellent legal research and patent drafting skills.Ability to manage a variety of client patent portfolios and related intellectual property matters.Strong communication and client management skills.Proficiency with electronic filings and case management.
