Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Litigation Associate to join its team in Melville, NY. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in various areas of law, particularly in insurance litigation, property damage, civil litigation, and collection cases. The successful candidate will have excellent research and writing abilities and a passion for serving clients effectively.DutiesConduct legal research utilizing tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.Assist in the preparation of legal documents for court filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Collaborate on cases involving property damage, insurance litigation, civil litigation, and collection matters.Review and analyze legal documents for relevance and legal sufficiency.Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel as necessary.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.CertificationsActive membership in the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.SkillsStrong analytical skills to assess and interpret legal issues effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and colleague interactions.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.Familiarity with litigation processes and legal documentation.ScheduleFull-time position with an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.Work location: In-person at the Melville office.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to advance their career in a dynamic and client-focused legal environment.
