Summary
Spire is seeking a
Human Resources Business Partner
to support part of Spire's Field Operations (Construction & Maintenance, Service, etc.). This position will be based out of Spire's Kansas City location (by the stadiums) and is responsible for consulting with regional leaders and providing guidance and support to the business across all areas of Human Resources.Qualified candidates must bring the following experience and skills to be considered:a Bachelor's degree AND 5+ years' experience in an HR Business Partner role, or 7+ as an HR Generalistdemonstrated experience critically thinking through difficult situationsbe an effective communicator, adept at managing and prioritizing follow-upable to work autonomously (manager is in St. Louis) and within the scope of HRBP roleDuties and Responsibilities
Function as an internal consultant to management and others by helping them identify and resolve issues, encouraging excellent management practices, anticipating internal organization issues, proposing solutions, and understanding/representing the employee perspectiveDrive an inclusive culture throughout the organization using data, metrics, and industry best practiceProvide HR guidance and support to the business across a breadth of areas, including talent management, employee development, performance management, change management, and employee relationsSupport the EEO and Affirmative Action initiatives, assuring that training, communications, and policies are in place and functioning to address areas of under-utilization and ensure compliance with corporate objectivesFacilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions and work with the business to ensure plans are actively put into practiceAssist with labor relations initiatives, assuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and NLRB legislation, including contract preparation, negotiations, and interpretationInvestigate claims of discrimination and harassment and serve as a resource for employees with related questions and concernsKeep abreast of current HR legislation and trends and assist in the updating of programs as requiredAll other duties as assignedEssential Characteristics and Competencies
