Nelson Labs, a leading global provider of laboratory testing and expert advisory services, is looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) ready and able to provide strategic business partnership and HR thought leadership to our leaders and employees throughout the organization. The Sr. HRBP should be a strong business partner, capable of consulting with leaders to find solutions to business challenges while balancing the employee experience. The role’s primary focus will be on attracting, developing, engaging and retaining talent throughout the organization. Intentional cultural stewardship and organizational effectiveness will also be important areas of focus. Strong operational excellence—meaning sound knowledge and execution of HR processes and consistent process improvement—will form a foundation for all of the above.
Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Human Resources Partnership
Talent: Execute against Nelson Labs' efforts to be a place where people want to come and grow, and where they want to stay and contribute.
Partner with business leaders to continuously improve leadership effectiveness at all levels of the organization, and partner with the VPHR and Professional Development team to ensure effective application of tools and resources.
Lead talent management within assigned business partnership, including elements such as workforce planning, talent assessment, and succession planning.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to deliver timely and high-quality candidates that keep the talent pipeline thriving.
Guide managers to ensure effective coaching and performance management take place throughout the organization.
Culture: Shepherd cultural initiatives that unlock employee potential and keep people excited to come to work every day.
Support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts at Nelson Labs, including support for ERGs and direction for committees such as Nelson Hope and the Wellness Committee to provide employees with an enriching and full work experience.
Execute against Nelson Labs' engagement strategy, including data assessment and action planning, ensuring effective connection of the feedback loop.
Organization: Optimize structures that empower our employees and allow our culture to flourish.
Provide functional expertise and strategic solutions to business partners looking for organizational design support.
Support merger and acquisition activity in order to deliver successful HR integration, as required.
Human Resources Operational Excellence
Ensure HR processes are effective and efficient.
Capture and report on key performance indicators for Human Resources that measure success and identify trends that indicate opportunities for improvement.
Work with business partners and corporate centers of excellence to manage and resolve employee issues, including objective investigations, accommodation requests, etc. when necessary.
As is often the case in Human Resources, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to tackle other responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements:
7+ years HR experience focused on partnering, coaching and consulting with leaders to achieve business results.
Strong business acumen and an understanding of how to balance employee and company needs and interests.
Track record of a strategy-first approach to Human Resources with a foundation in sound HR operations.
Proven ability to connect with employees, managers and leaders to understand employee needs, manage conflicts and influence outcomes while operating with discretion and confidentiality.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, business or related field.
Occasional travel, including some international travel.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with medical device lab testing or other life sciences/biotech preferred but not required.
MBA, MILR or related preferred.
SHRM certification preferred.
