Interested in selling products that save lives? We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join a leading manufacturer of life-saving, fire-fighting equipment. You will be responsible for a territory that covers an 8 state south central US territory, and you will have responsibility for driving territory performance and market penetration through product sales and customer engagement including assisting and training area dealers and end users. This is a remote role, with up to 60% travel, and candidates must live near a major Texas airport. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the territory and have a passion for working with firefighters and providing them with top quality life-saving equipment.What you will do: Lead all aspects of the region's sales in cooperation with dealers & channel partners to generate customer interest. Develop expert level product and category knowledge to serve as a true consultative partner to dealers and end users. Develop a growth strategy to increase sales in the region. Create annual regional sales targets for each dealer/channel partner with a reasonable incentive plan to drive a fanatical sales focus for each dealer. Advise/train dealers on sales and advertising techniques. Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales. Meet with key clients, assisting dealers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Deliver sales presentations to current and potential customers and end users in coordination with dealer sales representatives. Build lasting, long-term customer and partner relationships, resolve any customer issues that arise by providing world-class customer service, and manage relationships with distributors. Physically demonstrate and explain the operation and use of products. Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.Keys to this opportunity: 4-year degree or equivalent experience required. Key Account Management, consultative and value based selling experience, hands-on rescue/breaching tool or related equipment demonstration with end users and channel partners. Must possess strong technical knowledge of and affinity with fire and rescue equipment. Dealer/distributor network management and grant support experience. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. English/Spanish bilingual skills a plus. Concise, accurate, and efficient in commercial communication and documentation. Firefighting experience or exposure to/education in fire service and operations preferred.Capable of demonstrating tool use to dealers and end users (lifting, holding and/or moving items over 50 pounds) as well as long periods of standing and light booth construction for trade shows.
