Seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join a leading manufacturer of fire-fighting equipment. Your territory will cover Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and you will have responsibility for driving territory performance and market penetration through product sales and customer engagement including assisting and training area dealers and end users. This is a remote role, with up to 50% travel, and candidates for this role must live within the territory and have a passion for working with firefighters and providing them with top quality life-saving equipment.
What you will do:
Passionately represent an outstanding product line that saves lives and property while enthusiastically working toward company goals and initiatives.Cultivate long-term customer relationships and display a genuine interest in understanding and solving customer problems. Conduct meetings and hands-on demos with active buyers and promote top-performing products.Prioritize opportunities for optimum territory performance, thoughtfully identify new growth opportunities and build programs to support them.Engage customers in innovative ways and provide fanatical customer service.Use content to develop prospects during an evolving customer journey and leverage MQL reporting to develop new leads and engage new customers.Engage with End User-specified OEMs and/or apparatus dealers.Manage, develop, and grow relationships with top dealers.Grow top line revenue by developing and participating in business cases that drive future growth, identifying and developing up-and-coming premier dealers, and training the distribution network on product use, care, and maintenance.Keys to this opportunity:
Bachelor's Degree in related field required.2+ years' related experience in Account/Territory Management, selling technical products to municipal customers. Experience identifying growth opportunities and building related programs.Firefighting experience or exposure to/education in fire service and operations preferred.Knowledge of/ability to learn terms commonly used during water flow discussions and general understanding of IFSTA, NFP, UL, and other codes and standards organizations relative to our products and market.Demonstrated success in effectively building long-lasting relationships with End Users, Dealers, and others in the business.Strong action orientation, high integrity, grit, leadership abilities, and humbleness.Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce (SFDC) to support field sales activity and various monthly reporting requirements.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with End Users, Dealers and other business professionals.Ability to read and interpret detailed prints, sketches, and specifications.Flexibility to regularly work extended, weekend, and/or evening hours, and travel out of town.Ability to respond swiftly, rationally, and decisively to emergencies on a 24-hour basis, as needed.Unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standard of integrity through challenging market situations.Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
