Primary Purpose:
Receive, ship, handle and monitor grain, plus perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping as necessary.
General Description:
Dump, load out, dry, transfer grain and all other duties associated with grain handling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Ensure safety compliance, through plant inspections, near miss and unsafe condition reporting and direct communication with supervisor in regards to safety.Follow all State and Federal DOT Rules and Regulations.Read, understand and follow all Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. Policies and Procedures.Comply with all Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations and Policies.Operate all equipment & vehicles according to Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. Policies and Procedures along with local, state and federal laws.Assist in grain inventory & position grain in facility to maximize marketing value.Assist in coordinating inbound grain receiving activities and segregation of grain.Assist in coordinating out bound loading and positioning of grain.Communicate daily activities, needs & accomplishments with location manager and/or location operations managerDevelop operational knowledge to assist in other departments.Provide assistance on facility improvement planning and capital expenditures with location manager and/or operations manager.Perform, coordinate and document daily facility maintenance.Work the amount of hours needed to complete appropriate duties and responsibilities which may involve overtime (early morning and/or late evening) hours.Unload, clean, store and maintains grain received at the location. Ensures grain quality is maintained during storage processMoves grain within location, cleans and inspects bins, and load grain for shipment.Maintains warehouse, location grounds and equipment to acceptable company standards.Assists in other location functions as needed during slow times.Assist in maintaining inventory records, as well as other maintenance and housekeeping records in appropriate documentation system.Ability to assist in the absence of operations manager/superintendent.Knowledge of railcar loading procedures if at a rail facility.Accomplish tasks in a timely manner without supervision.Perform general cleaning of elevator.Understand office procedures at the facility.Prepare rail cars and load cars according to specs.Perform general housekeeping (sweep and clean grain and fertilizer plants, shop and warehouse etc.) to maintain dust levels as well as Ray-Carroll image.Work in a safe and efficient manner according to Ray-Carroll safety policies.Provide a high level of customer service by displaying courteous, helpful, knowledgeable interaction and behaviors.Maintain the general appearance of the facility to include elevator, grounds and buildings etc.Ability to work in a grain handling environment.Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment.Ability to work outside in all types of weather.Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.Ability to work long, irregular hours.
OTHER DUTIES:Able to build morale and group commitments to achieve goals and objectives.Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.Provide courteous customer service.Report even minor injuries using the employee injury report form.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Reliable vehicle to drive to and from work, valid state motor vehicle license, 20/20 vision in both eyes, with corrective lenses (if applicable)
