Duro-Last, a Division of Holcim Solutions and Products US, LLC, has an opening for a Senior Accountant at our Corporate Headquarters located in Saginaw, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing the month-end close process, performing reconciliations, and ensuring robust internal controls. This is a full-time, salary-based position with excellent benefits and growth opportunities that would report to the Finance Manager. This role requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Essential Job Functions:
Execute the month-end close process for a segment of the Duro-Last business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Perform monthly reconciliations for all accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for accurate financial reporting.Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights.Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support.Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and controls.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with a focus on month-end close and reconciliations.Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.Proficient in accounting software (AS400) and Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
