Area Director of Revenue Strategy - Remote

The Area Director of Revenue Strategy is responsible for maximizing all potential revenue opportunities a portfolio of hotels. This role will provide direction and support to property teams in the maximization of revenue, profit and market share through leadership in the revenue strategy processes associated with inventory management, pricing, demand projections and forecasting. The position is responsible for data analysis and the development of revenue strategies in accordance with the Revenue Strategy KPI strategic plan and annual operating plan for the hotel.
Functions:
Maximize total revenues and market share through pricing, restrictions, mix of sales and channel distribution.Test and measure all rate strategies to drive RPI growth weekly, monthly and annually.Analyze data to interpret market trends, market dynamics, strategy changes, and optimum mix of sales, etc.Lead by example through Remington's five essential guiding principles: Be Ethical, Profitable, Innovative, Tenacious and EngagingLead revenue virtual video strategy meetings with hotel teamsAssist in completing monthly revenue forecastsMonitor competitive pricing across all channels and productsOversee OTA promotionsOversee the accuracy of the RMS systemOversee Group Rate Pricing Strategy for the hotel 24 months into the future.Work closely with group housing to ensure group standards are met and cut off dates are monitoredUnderstand and apply the dynamics of local markets and demand generatorsAssist as needed in the yearly RFP processAssist as needed in the yearly budgeting processAssist as needed in reporting to ownershipRequirements:
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience; at least 3 years of experience in a hotel revenue management position. Multi-property experience strongly preferred.Marriott experience/certification required; Hilton brand experience/certification preferred.Strong analytical and technical skills; working understanding of Excel.Strong working knowledge of reservations, revenue, front office, sales & catering systems and industry systems (STR, Travel Click, Sales Systems, Knowland, Kalibri, etc.)Ability to evaluate business trends and communicate recommendations.Thorough knowledge of channel distribution methods.Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.Minimal travel required; position is home-based remote.Attention to detail and proven time management/organizational ability.Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and strong communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within one's jurisdiction.
