Dunwoody Village, a highly regarded continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Newtown Square, PA, is seeking an experienced UNIT COORDINATOR to join our caring and talented team.
Our Care Center Unit is made up of 81 skilled nursing rooms and 81 personal care rooms and the Unit Coordinator serves an integral role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Some of the key essential functions of the position include the following:
Provides daily support to nurses on assigned unitsPreparing and compiling medical recordsScheduling appointments and arranging transportation for our residents on our Skilled Nursing units.Scanning medical records and documents for the electronic medical recordCoordinates companions for residents when attending medical appointments.Assists our nursing staff with admission and discharge administrationServes as a backup receptionist as necessaryAnswers phone at the nursing station and directs callsCommunicates with resident, families, and appropriate persons for efficient scheduling of appointmentsMaintains appropriate inventory of forms and supplies as well as nursing unitsOur ideal candidate is best described below:
A minimum of 2 years of broad clerical/administrative experience in a busy medical setting - preferably in a CCRC.Superb administrative skills with a detail-oriented approach to completing tasks.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - including Word. Working knowledge of Point/Click/Care (PCC) is strongly desired.Proficiency in medical terminology strongly preferredWhy Dunwoody Village?
