Overview
Lutron is seeking aMaterials Managerto join our dynamic team of industry leading experts out of our Ashland, VA manufacturing facility. This key leadership position is responsible for all materials management activity at the Lutron Northlake operation. This includes Supply chain design, ERP/SAP parameter maintenance, production planning, purchasing, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, trade compliance and shipping.
Responsibilities
Accurate and timely planning strategies and tactical purchasing execution, warehouse receiving and shipping, supply chain scheduling and priority control, inventory control, logistics model optimization, material & freight total cost control.Develop and manage materials related annual capital and expense budgets.Set up, arrange, and audit organization material plan, purchasing & logistic activities.Manage lean inventory control strategies while maintaining high levels of production effectiveness while meeting inventory targets.Lead development of goals and objectives for the department to develop teamwork, improve technical capability, and optimize job back up plan.According to organization and customer's needs, balance organization production ability, and audit organization production and material plan.Manage the short-term and long-term capacity plans based on MPS. Recommend adjustments to ensure optimal throughput and cost efficiencies.Lead material handling, warehouse operations, inventory control activity to insure efficient material movement, storage, and accurate inventory records.Monitor program launches, and product changes. Implement countermeasures and adjust planning systems to minimize obsolete inventories.Manage the routine dispatch schedule and maintain priorities to achieve 100% customer on-time deliveries, and production throughput efficiencies.Lean supply chain and Kaizen/5S program driving on responsible functions.Maintain well informed plant manager and corporate on material potential issues or improvements strategic plan.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or related fieldMinimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earnedMinimum 10 years of professional experiencePeople leadership and related materials management experienceERP experience with proficiency in SAP preferredA working knowledge of low-volume/high mix & high-volume manufacturing operations, warehouse shipping and receiving, ERP planning systems, proven mathematical and analysis skills required.Solid knowledge & hands on experience in Supply ChainProfessional certification is a plus-C.P.I.M. (Certified Production & Inventory Management); MMS ERPLean manufacturing and/or six sigma certification is a plus
