We are currently seeking a highly motivated Contract Administrator II located in Los Angeles, CA.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business related field, as well as training in procurement, contract, construction and commercial law.Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience experience in administration of commercial/government contracts.Must have a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; and willing and capable to assume additional responsibilitiesDemonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous positionsProven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishmentEffective oral and written communication skillsMust be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgroundsMust be detail oriented and highly organizedMust be able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer service attitudeKnowledge and direct experience in SBE/DBE/MWBE program coordination preferredMicrosoft Office SuiteAdobe AcrobatLarge-scale construction management type software such as Prolog, Primavera etc.Responsibilities:
Assist LAWA with planning of procurements and setting pre-award schedules for contracts including Board actionsAssist in coordination of Pre-Bid/Proposal Meetings to present the Project and RFB/RFP to potential bidder/proposers.Prepare drafts of RFP/RFB addenda for LAWA to review, finalize, and distribute to PlanholdersPrepare draft award recommendations and Board reportsAttend various meetings, including pre-bid proposal and post-bid proposal debriefingsAssist in Contract standardization processMonitor all aspects of contract complianceAssist in resolving problems and disagreements between contractors and LAWAReview contractor invoices for contractual complianceConduct closeout actions upon contract completion such as final audit, payment, etc. under the direction of LAWA personnelCoordinate changes across the project environment, ensuring correct procedures are followed and changes are accurately recorded, scheduled and controlledPrepare Change DocumentsRoute Change Documents for signature and tracks statusCreate and distribute change reports and analysisSupport the project management team in maintaining timely and effective change support processes, procedures and systemsLead the development and maintenance of any periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) status reports to keep management and/or owner informed of change progressEnsure that changes properly encumber contractual capacity and budgetCoordinate with PDG scheduling to ascertain time impacts of changes under consideration and property documentsAssist with implementation of trend and change support programsContribute to the advancement of PDG's goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholdersSalary:
$114,974.87 annually
Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management's discretion.
