The Production Manager will work to ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient production operation. To maintain highest standards of safety, quality, knowhow, and productivity on the production floor.
Ensures and reinforces the exercise of the health and safety programOversees daily productionSupports engineers to ensure machines run efficientlyEnsures profits are maximized
Develops production schedulePlans, directs and assigns duties of manufacturing personnelAuthorizes overtime, as necessary, to meet production goals
Analyzes and interprets data received on a daily basis and prepares management and financial reportsAnalyzes data from various systems to detect and prevent production issueIntervenes to the production floor when issues are detected in real-time
Prepares production figures for daily meetingsCompiles month-end reports
Troubleshoots & solves production problemsManages production issuesIn charge of issues that are being solved and trackedReports crucial process problems to the Plant Manager & Directors
Management of the Production DepartmentOrganizes and conducts meetings with Supervisors on a regular basisRecruits (with HR) new employeesEnsures efficient shift hand-over and feedback of past shift performancePrepares shift schedulesPerforms disciplinary actionsOversees all production trainingProvides continuous feedback culture with all production team membersPerforms annual Performance EvaluationMonthly meeting with OPEX teamKnow how level/trainingsOverall understanding of various ALPLA IT/MES SystemsAssesses training needs of staff and ensures execution of training (Equipment, Product, Processes, and IT/MES Systems
Ensures all employees follow proceduresRevises existing and implements new procedures
Requirements
What Makes You Great
Education/Experience:
Min 2-year Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferredTechnical / Engineering background3 to 5 years' experience in a management position in production, preferably within plastics industryQualifications/Skills:
Thorough understanding of Health and Safety practicesExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong leadership skillsTechnical understanding (Manufacturing and IT)Strong knowledge sharing/training skills
