The Senior Accountant will assist accounting and finance with the daily operations of the accounting and finance department. This individual will be working closely with the Director, Controller, and CFO of the accounting and finance departments.
What you will do:Manage cash budgeting and forecasting activitiesPerform monthly and annual close processes; complete month end close checklist for Director/Controller reviewCreate monthly journal entriesPerform monthly account reconciliationsReconcile bank accountsReconcile credit card charges and paymentsManage the AP inbox and upload approved vendor invoices into the General Ledger; resolve vendor related issues, add new vendors as neededThis position requires
Experience/ Background:
4+ years of related experienceBachelor's degree required; concentration in accounting or finance preferredPublic accounting experienceCPA candidate highly preferredKnowledge of GAAP, accounting theory, principles, and practicesAbility to describe accounting systems and processes in written correspondence and in procedure manual formatProficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of computer information systems to present financial informationAbility to prioritize in fast paced environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsComfortable working on-site at our Fort Wayne, IN location at least 4 days a week
