Job DescriptionPrestige Staffing Services is seeking an Assistant Controller for a direct hire opportunity with great benefits in the greater Fort Wayne area.
Position Summary
Manage the financial integrity and operational efficiency of a manufacturing operations. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, prepare financial statements, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Analyze financial date to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvementAssist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecastsMonitor and report on budget variancesOversee the cost accounting functions including standard cost development, variance analysis, and inventory valuationImplement and maintain effective cost control measuresAnalyze production costs and recommend cost-saving initiativesDevelop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assetsAssist with internal and external auditsIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting efficiencyLead initiatives to enhance ERP systems and other financial toolsSupervise and mentor accounting staffRequirements
Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting, and financial management.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.CPA or CMA preferredMinimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
