Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Controller to oversee and manage our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting management, project accounting, and experience in the construction industry. The Controller will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management:
Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Project Accounting:
Manage project accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking project costs to ensure profitability.Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting professional development and a collaborative work environment.System Management:
Utilize Sage 300 for financial management and reporting, ensuring effective use of the software across the team.Budgeting & Forecasting:
Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.Audit Coordination:
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit findings.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.4 years of experience in accounting management or as a Controller, preferably in the construction industry.Strong experience with Sage 300 for financial management and reporting.Proven expertise in project accounting and cost control.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
