Summary:The Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at The Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC) seeks a Board-Certified, fellowship-trained Director of Breast Imaging. Comprehensive services include digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, MRI, radioactive seed localizations and image guided core biopsy (stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI). Full time is preferred. Breast radiologists do not take overnight or weekend call.
Our Breast Imaging Center, located in the Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center, is a state-of-the-art facility staffed by six dedicated breast radiologists. The breast imaging team works collaboratively with the breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and pathologists to provide multidisciplinary care to our patients as well as with RPCCC outreach programs to increase screening participation in our local community.
Roswell Park is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center (one of only two in New York State) with deep ties to the Western NY Community. It is a University at Buffalo (UB) Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences affiliate, with academic appointments for staff. We are an ACR Breast Center of Excellence, and our Breast Program is accredited by the NAPBC. Current trainees include UB medical students, radiology residents and breast surgical oncology fellows.

Buffalo has undergone a major transformation in the past few years, building on its marvelous waterfront on the shores of Lake Erie, its historic architecture, its affordable, charming, tree-lined neighborhoods, its proximity to Canada and the Toronto metropolitan area, its world-renowned symphony and art gallery, dozens of universities and colleges, and its international airport.
Salary range is $500,000 - $575,000 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also has an opportunity for a sign on bonus!
Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology or Angio/Interventional Radiology.Education and ExperienceMedical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, or Angio/Interventional Radiology.
NOTE:Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate would have the qualifications of the American Board of Radiology and a Breast Imaging Fellowship.
