Summary:The Division of Critical Care in the Department of Internal Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has an opportunity for a BE/BC Intensivist to join our multidisciplinary Critical Care team. All primary certifications with Critical Care training (Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency Medicine) are encouraged to apply.
Our 24/7/365 Intensivist-led program oversees 28 Critical Care beds: a 14-bed mixed medical and surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a 14-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). Intensivists are supported by Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Anesthesiology residents from University of New York at Buffalo. Our flexible and equitable scheduling model allows the Intensivist to tailor 12-hour shifts to optimize personal time and reduce burnout. Shift allocation is based on a 40-hour work week. There are many opportunities for professional development and leadership roles in quality improvement projects.
Individuals interested in part- or full-time positions will be considered. Ideal candidates will have exemplary clinical and interpersonal skills with a strong interest in team building. Academic appointment available through the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of New York at Buffalo. It includes basic science departments of Immunology, Genetics, Drug Development, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics that complement nationally prominent departments of Surgery, Radiation Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, and Medicine operating in a new state-of-the-art clinical cancer facility, which opened in June, 1998. Salary range is offered at $187,185 - $466,312 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Anesthesiology, Surgery, or Internal Medicine. Fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine preferred.
Education and ExperienceMedical Doctor degree
