Job Description:
As a Director of Capture, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's expansion and revenue growth in key customers primarily across DoD and the Intelligence Community. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, you will be responsible for executing the capture of opportunities across multiple customers and of various sizes. Specifically, you will engage with business development leads and operational leads to understand mission needs for both new business and recompete efforts; then translate these needs into a winning solution that results in business growth. You will perform early capture activity to position our company by facilitating the development of the value proposition, teaming, win themes and differentiators, solutioning, staffing, and pricing. You will orchestrate the development opportunity specific marketing materials (e.g. white papers, advertising campaigns, customer engagement). You will manage capture resources by coalescing Cydecor functional staff in a way that brings the pieces of an offer together for a successful bid. You will lead pre-capture/capture activity to enable the Cydecor proposal development team to deliver compliant and compelling proposals by translating your capture process expertise and competitive bid knowledge into capture strategies and plans that can be executed prior to proposal drop to maximize positioning and Pwin.
Specific Responsibilities include:Lead the development, management, and execution of end-to-end capture for opportunities of varying size and complexity and across DoD and the ICDevelop and execute capture plans and strategies using outcome-based capture processesApply traditional capture processes and mechanisms to various sizes of opportunities employing the right level of rigor for the return on investmentUnderstand the critical path to Pgo and Pwin and apply the right processes to raise PwinPerform capture status gate reviews with an eye toward content that helps decision makers understand the opportunity and how we win including what resources and investment are needed to winInitiate, develop and maintain relationships with key customers, teammates, and partnersPerform market research and analysis to inform capture plans and processes including the understanding of customer acquisition patterns, customer needs, technical solutions, price sensitivities, and competitive landscapeCollaborate with the marketing and social media team to align capture strategies with marketing initiatives that help increase PwinPartner with other functionals to include technology development, and operations, to ensure alignment with upcoming opportunities and future customer needs
Basic RequirementsBachelor's degree in Technical, Business, Finance, or a related field, or proven track record of capture abilities10-15 years of experience in capture management, and/or a proven track record of winsUnderstanding of the critical path to capture an opportunity and what capture activities must be performedUnderstanding of Shipley methodologyExperience leading or performing key capture duties for mid to large size effortsExperience running capture at a mid-tier or large businessExisting understanding of DoD and IC customers and ability to build relationships with key decision makers related to specific capturesAwareness of competitive landscape within DoD and the IC and awareness of applicable technology to better understand competitors and vendors and facilitate partnerships when neededStrong analytical and strategic thinking skills that drive progressive capture approachesBasic business acumen related to opportunity pursuitExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to writeAbility to lead or be part of a teamAbility to present opportunities in a coherent way that promotes efficient decision makingStrong attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:Experience orchestrating the development of winning approaches and solutionsExperience working with functional leads to drive to a solutionMentoring/coaching experience in the capture processSECRET or TS/SCI clearance helpful but not required
Work Schedule and Location:Expect to spend 3 days in person at Cydecor HQ (Crystal City)Expect to travel to customer and/or partner sites when related to capture opportunitiesAt times, during capture and proposal development or strategic plan development, the in-person requirement may increase
