DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

:Oversees the compliance program and educates the management team and staff about compliance, operational compliance issues, risk issues related to CHR programs, and appropriate details of the compliance program.Fosters a culture free from blame and works to support a positive compliance program and culture which supports open lines of communication for reporting and addressing compliance concerns.Maintains a detailed knowledge of contractual requirements and state and federal contract requirements and manages contracts for CHR. Provides oversight and negotiates contracts with third party payers including managed care organizations and insurance companies.Develops and oversees the annual audit and monitoring plan and program, basing it on trends in the industry and identifying areas for improvement within the organization.Leads investigations to resolve compliance-related issues, breaches and/or patient complaints.Maintains documentation systems and processes as needed to track, trend and manage compliance notifications, issues, corrective action plans, audit results etc. and use those results to support the Compliance OfficerOversees incident reporting system for the organization. Reports on trends and areas of needs, at least quarterly. Reports Critical Incidents to regulatory bodies.Prepares written monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of on compliance activities to senior management,Oversees submission of plans of correction related to deficiencies from licensing visits. Supports compliance with corrective actions.Assists the Compliance Officer in ensuring legal/regulatory compliance and contract compliance for CHR.Serve as CHR resource for billing, credentialing and contracting troubleshooting,Participates in other project management and compliance activities as assigned to meet departmental and CHR objectives and requirements.Serves as CHR HIPAA Privacy Officer; work closely with HIPAA Security Officer to ensure CHR is compliant with HIPAA, state and federal regulations with regard to privacy and security; assist in promoting awareness related to information privacy and security and enforce compliance with applicable state and federal laws.Maintains and oversees the anonymous hotline and responds to employee compliance inquiries.Designs and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external requirements.Develops and delivers training programs to educate employees on compliance requirements (including new employee orientation and annual training), and auditing / monitoring compliance related matters that are relevant and applicable to CHR.Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external parties.Supervises Compliance AnalystsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business, Health Information Management, Nursing, Social Work or a related area is required. Master's degree is preferred; however, directly applicable experience may substitute for educational requirements.

Experience:

3-5 years compliance related experience in healthcare; Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring an ethics and compliance program.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Preferred, not required:

(i.e. Certificate in Healthcare Compliance-CHC, Certified Professional Compliance Office- CPCO, Certified Professional Coder- CPC)

COMPENSATION*

:

$92,815/annually minimum, and up commensurate upon experience.

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and internal equity, as well as, adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
