Great manufacturing company in Groton, Massachusetts is looking for an HR generalist to join their team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting plant operations, developing talent, and ensuring effective HR compliance, while maintaining strong relationships with leadership and staff. $75k-$90k+ bonus. 5 days a week onsite.
Job Description
Union Relations:
Support the plant's response to upcoming unionization, ensuring compliance with regulations, and addressing any violations by following proper procedures.Change Management:
Assist the Plant Manager and leadership in managing organizational changes, developing talent, and ensuring employees are in the right roles to drive the plant's success.Stakeholder Management:
Guide and support supervisors to ensure they are effectively managing their teams and holding them accountable to operational standards. Work closely with the Plant Manager and HR leadership to assess staff capabilities and contribute to strategic workforce planning.Talent Development:
Focus on growing and developing the skills of the plant's hourly workforce and machine operators, with a significant portion of the role dedicated to talent development initiatives.Recruitment:
Manage hourly recruitment efforts, ensuring the right talent is brought into the organization.Leave Management:
Oversee leave processes and collaborate with supervisors to manage return-to-work dates and other leave-related concerns.Safety and Compliance:
Partner with the safety team to ensure all HR-related safety procedures are followed.General HR Support:

The Successful Applicant
Minimum 4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or unionized environment.Strong change management skills, with the ability to navigate and support organizational changes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of holding people accountable while maintaining a professional demeanor.Experience with talent development and supporting supervisory teams.Solid understanding of HR processes, including leave management, recruitment, and compliance.Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.Ability to work well under pressure and navigate complex workplace dynamics.
