General Summary

The Contracts Manager will assist attorneys and other personnel in GTI Energy’s legal group drafting and reviewing a variety of industry and government contractual documents and implementing/administering a contract management system. The Contracts Manager will perform legal research, work closely with other departments acting as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries, and support various legal efforts under the supervision of our attorneys.

Work Location

The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. We offer a hybrid/core work week, where employees are remote Mondays and Fridays, and required to be on-site Tuesday through Thursday.

Primary Responsibilities

Draft and review standard documents and routine and moderately complex contracts (which may include NDAs, MSAs, Subcontracts, Field Test Agreements, and amendments).Oversee the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and subsequent amendments.Assist in the implementation and administration of a contract management system and coordinate the contract workflow to streamline processes and improve efficiency in contract management.Serve as the main point of contact for contract-related inquiries, which involves working closely with other departments including finance, relevant business units, and project teams.Provide contracting advice and recommendations in consultation with a supervisor and/or attorney, as appropriate.Perform legal research and provide administrative support to the legal team on various matters and special projects as needed.May influence or contribute to overall objectives and goals of the organization.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

5 or more years of experience working in a position utilizing the skills outlined above, such as a paralegal, contract analyst, contract manager, or similar positionIn-house experience is highly preferred, especially within a corporate, nonprofit, research and development, or energy sector settingGovernment contracting experience is preferred. Alternatively, eagerness and motivation to learn government contracting and GTI Energy’s government contracting systemsContract management certificate and/or experience implementing and/or administering a contract management system is preferredExperience with corporate governance is preferred

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 USD annually. This salary range is GTI Energy’s good faith estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, GTI Energy’s business or organizational needs and an individual’s relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus. The range listed is just one component of GTI Energy’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, paid time off, and region-specific benefits.
