Job Description

What You'll Do:

As a Licensing and Compliance Specialist, you will be working in a fast-paced team environment, simultaneously managing multiple agent submissions, assisting in the onboarding process for agents. This process will include coordinating new agent paperwork for background information and gathering documentation as needed, ensuring life and health exams are passed with the resident state, and submitting resident licenses once those exams have been passed. You will be responsible for submitting carrier appointments, setting-up carrier logins, and executing daily checks to make sure our system is updated as licenses and appointments get approved.

Moving forward, you will maintain those licenses and contracts, process renewals, and ensure that SVG agents are completing their continued education courses. You will be responsible for submitting contracts for any new carriers or products, update states and carriers as needed, and process agent terminations and releases. Most importantly, you must be a strong communicator, triaging information to multiple departments across SVG and ensuring follow-up on any issues, questions, or situations pertaining to the licensing process.

This person would be working primarily remote, making occasional visits to the KC office as needed.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring to the Role: At least 2 years of successful licensing work experience OR a general knowledge of company licensing processes and abiding by HIPAA standards Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel High attention to detail and processes Work effectively in both team and individual settings Ability to handle sensitive information in a discreet manner Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
