Senior Network Architect/Engineer | Full-Time (Direct Hire) | Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office / 2 remotely) | Orlando, Florida, Lakeland, Florida or Miami (Kendall), Florida
In this role, you will provide network architecture leadership and guidance in a large enterprise environment. You will lead a team of 2 Network Architects.
This "hands-on" position requires experience as a Network Architect and Engineer. This is a large network environment consisting primarily of Juniper networks.
Analyzes, designs, and develops technical solutions (interfaces, performance tuning, utilities, or diagnostics) to technical and business problems. Provides level 3 and 4 technical support. Performs capacity planning to predict usage trends for upcoming hardware/software needs. Makes recommendations to management for systems and supporting infrastructure purchases. Coordinates and evaluates data circuit orders and reviews monthly billing for discrepancies.
Duties & Responsibilities:Leads a small team of Network Architects with day-to-day and long-term tasks.Set priorities and goals for the team and individuals. Provide constructive feedback to team members.Provides Level 3 & Level 4 technical support and administration for network-based operating systems such as Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, F5 load balancer, and Infoblox NIOS.Provides Level 3 and Level 4 technical support and administration for Routing and Switching, DNS and DHCP, and network load balancingDevelop, define, and create best practices processes for Network infrastructure, Data Circuit technologies, and WAN design.Participate in a regular on-call rotation to provide 24/7 supportDesigns and administers security practices to meet various regulatory and policy requirementsActs as subject matter expert (SME) for all Network; Load balancer related activities.; DNS and DHCP related activities; and Wireless, Circuit, and WAN designs.Coordinate & participate in service/support needs with vendors, technical support, application support, and infrastructure support.Test and deploy security patches to identity systems to help maintain PCI, SOX, and other regulatory compliance requirements.Maintains, analyzes, and troubleshoots the various and compute infrastructure to ensure all services are optimally structured to provide defined service levels for:o Uptime
o Stability
o Performance
o Quality
Performs capacity planning and ensures that optimum levels are achieved, sustained, and consistently improved.Develop automation scripts and custom scripts for support, monitoring, and metrics gatheringAssist with circuit orders and monthly billing reviews.Performs on-call support every 5th week.Requirements:
BA/BS in technology or related degree or equivalent technical certification and experienceAt least 8 years of Network engineering/architecture and (level 3 & 4) technical support experienceExperience leading other network engineers (assigning tasks, mentoring, etc.)Experience as a Network Architect in an enterprise environment (global experience preferred)Strong technical experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, WAN design, SDWAN, DNS, DHCP, and Load BalancingMust have deep knowledge of BGPExperience performing capacity planning to predict usage trends for upcoming hardware/software needsJuniper certification preferred
