Job Summary:

The Clinical Research Informatician serves as a key liaison between clinicians, researchers, and data teams, blending expertise in clinical workflows and health information technology.

This role is instrumental in advancing clinical and translational research towards improving patient care.

The Clinical Research Informatician will be responsible for creating, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications and data systems that enhance clinical areas.

The position involves working closely with stakeholders on software development, operational maintenance, and the optimization of healthcare data workflows.

Key Responsibilities:Act as a liaison between clinicians, researchers, and data stewards to facilitate the use of clinical informatics in healthcare research.Interface with stakeholders to support the development, maintenance, and operation of informatics software.Analyze and optimize clinical workflows, leveraging IT tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes.Assist in the development, modification, testing, and implementation of applications and algorithms for healthcare data collection, organization, and analysis.Collaborate with software vendors and IT service providers to ensure technology solutions meet the healthcare facility's operational needs.Support the creation of presentations, scientific publications, and grant proposals by providing informatics insights.Collect, organize, and document healthcare information within a data warehouse for research and operational purposes.Apply clinical knowledge and informatics expertise to improve healthcare operations and patient care outcomes through research.Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field (e.g., nursing) with certification in Health Informatics, or a B.S. in informatics, computer science, statistics, biomedical engineering, or artificial intelligence with certification in Health Informatics.Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical research, clinical informatics, or information technology in an academic healthcare setting.Proficiency in clinical standards, coding, definitions, ontologies, dictionaries, and taxonomies.Expertise in analyzing and optimizing clinical workflows to improve patient outcomes.Experience with SQL and Python or similar coding languages.Proven ability to liaise effectively between clinical stakeholders and technical teams.Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Health Informatics or a related field.Experience with clinical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementing new technologies in clinical settings.Strong technical aptitude in healthcare data curation and documentation in a data warehouse.Familiarity with advanced data analytics tools and AI-driven healthcare solutions.Experience with grant writing and scientific publication processes.Certifications:

Health Informatics Certification (Required if applicable to education).
